Acting Out Reading with Trade Books

Sharing reading with students and little ones is an experience that builds future interest and a love for reading.  The SAG Foundation is sharing reading with our kiddos online.

A fun and fantastic website featuring actors reading some of our favorite stories awaits you and your students and little ones.  Check out the free service at Storyline Online. Once you make your selection, you will be directed to Youtube to view the actor reading the story to you.

You will find some of the following actors and books being read on their site:

Enemy Pie
Harry the Dirty Dog
To Be a Drum
Stellaluna
No Mirrors in My Nana's House

Tia and Tamara Mowry
James Earl Jones
Betty White
Melissa Gilbert
Al Gore
Hector Elizondo

There are plenty more actors reading the stories.  Check them out!!!

You are missing out if you haven't visited Starfall.com for online interactive phonics games and fun.

Parents, teachers, or other adults sharing reading can even print out complementary worksheets to help students build phonics skills.  Practice letter and sound recognition with your little ones.

I've only used the many free reading resources to share with my little ones.

Check it out!

I'm Thankful

I'm thankful that my family and my teachers shared the love and skill of reading with me.

Not only do I like to read, but I love sharing the gift of reading with my own children and students even more.  To show my thanks, this blog is devoted to sharing book love, reading resources, and reading strategies from the best.
